We are pleased to welcome Nicholas Perniciaro to Shooting Disciplines.  Nick will bring his experience as an avid shooter and as a Bail Enforcement Agent to brighten up the NRA Course. 

People have this feeling that it can not happen to me.  For the most part this is a true statement.  However, there are more home invasions are on the rise.  Personal attacks are on the rise.  Are you prepared to protect yourself or your family?  Do you have the training to protect yourself or family?  If not you should seek out the training that will help you protect yourself and family.  Do not be confused, just because you have a Pistol permit and took that one class.  You NEED additional training.

This Saturday at Tactical Arms in Torrington CT we will be holding a NRA basic pistol class.  Start time is 9:00 am.  Come on down and take the class you need to obtain your CT Permit.  

Today is Friday.  Have you done any training lately?  Remember shooting IS a perishable skill.  We are offering advanced classes for anyone that is interested when it comes to pistol shooting or long gun classes as well.  We train for real life situations.  Under stress your body goes through a number of changes and you need to be able to act under stress.  You can achieve this through training.

When I first started to teach the NRA Basic pistol course over 11 years ago, I used to tell students that if the government wanted too, they could ban all firearms and allow you to have a single shot rifle or shotgun and that will not infringe on our 2A right.  Well look at what is happening.  In the shooting sports world, it is a small group of people.  We ALL need to ban together and stand strong.  This includes all the gun stores out there.  Yes everyone is in business to make money, however we need to stick together.

Today we held a Basic Pistol class for CT pistol permit.  The venue was at Tactical Arms in Torrington CT.  It was a smaller class consisting  of 6 students.  There was a wide variety of students from never handling a firearm to have had experience shooting.  The feedback from all the students was very positive.  

I am very proud of all the students who attended today.  Everyone did a fine job both in class and on the range.

Well today I had a 3 person NRA pistol class at A Call To Arms in Enfield CT.  This was the first time in many years that no one in the class was obtaining their permit for personal protection.  Over the last 8 years or so the majority of the people taking my classes are for personal protection.

With that said this Sunday Dec 09 we will be having a Center Axis Relock class at Tactical Arms in Torrington CT.  Cost is $300.00 and you need to bring 800 rounds of ammunition with you.  This is not a beginner class.
